Hugs for Israel - Helping the Hurt to Heal
Jerusalem bus bombing March 23, 2011   Pray for victims
Dear Friend
Just last week, I sent you a news and prayer alert regarding a family of 5 in Itamar stabbed to death in their sleep by terrorists. I mentioned that though there might be seasons that appear to be relatively calm, we know however from past experience that the enemy is only waiting for an opportune time to rain down destruction.  Today, he found an opportunity in the capital city of Jerusalem.  Just after 3 pm and during rush hour when thousands of people were coming and going, a bomb concealed in a bag and left at a telephone booth near a crowded bus stop across from the central bus station (and near Jerusalem's main convention center) exploded next to a # 74 city bus.  As a result,  a 60-year old woman died from her injuries on the way to the hospital, and more than 30 other persons were wounded (5 of them critically).   PLEASE INTERCEDE NOW for those who were wounded and who are now in the hospitals and fighting for their lives that the LORD would be merciful and heal them. Pray also for their families as well as the family of the woman who died. Pray for all those responsible for Israel's security and for intelligence gathering that they would be able to see, to hear and to foil the plans of the enemy through the revelations of the Holy Spirit. Pray for Wisdom for Israeli leaders that they would know how to handle this situation, and the courage to do it, so that we don't slide back into the near-daily bombing and terrorist attacks the country endured only a few short years ago.  And while they are dealing with things in the natural, let us be found Faithful dealing with things in the spiritual through the power of prayer. "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but MIGHTY in God to the pulling down of strongholds." (2 Corinthinians 10:4)
