PA terrorists stab 5 members of family to death, including 3 children
March 12, 2011
Dear Friend,
Thank you for being a Praying Friend.  No doubt your local news stations have NOT reported on the horrendous terrorist attack that occurred Friday night over Shabbat.  A PA terrorist infiltrated the community of Itamar, broke into a home and stabbed to death  a man, his wife and three of their young children...ages 11, 4, and only 3 months old in their beds as they slept.  There are 3 remaining children who are now orphans...a 12 year old girl who was not home at the time and an 8 and 2 year old who were asleep in a different part of the home.  It is truly heartbreaking and brings back all of the gut-wrenching memories of the kinds of stories I was covering when the LORD first birthed Hugs for Israel in my heart at the beginning of the last intifada.
As you read the story below, please allow the Holy Spirit to move you to intercession on behalf of these remaining children and other family members for comfort; the community of Itamar as whole (which has known other terrorist infiltrations and deadly attacks) AND the entire nation of Israel for protection and covering. This attack serves as a reminder that though there may be seasons of relative "calm" in Israel, death and destruction of the most horrible kind are just waiting for an opportunity.  But by Faith, we believe the Word of God that the LORD will hear our fervent prayer on behalf of this nation and will deny the enemy the opportunity he seeks.
"For the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much..."  (James 5:16)
Blessings and "Hugs" from Jerusalem,
Terror attack in Itamar: 5 family members murdered
 03/12/2011 02:51
Armed terrorists entered house in West Bank and stabbed to death a couple along with 3 of their children; 2 other children escape unharmed. (UPDATE:  a 1 year old and a 2 year old survived because they were asleep in a different part of the home, and a 12 year old daughter was not at home at the time.)
Five family members were found murdered in their residence in the West Bank Itamar settlement Friday overnight, after suspected terrorists broke and entered the house and stabbed the five to death. Two children managed to escape and survived the attack, Army Radio reported. A Magen David Adom team that arrived at the scene at 1:00 a.m. announced a couple, their 11-year old child, 4year-old toddler, and a 3-month baby girl dead from stabbing wounds. Residents of the settlement reported that shots were heard in the area and that the terrorists succeeded in fleeing from the scene.   Palestinian media on Saturday reported that a faction of Fatah's al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade claimed responsibility for the stabbing incident.  Police set out in search of the suspect in the Itamar settlement, which is near Nablus, as well as in the surrounding villages of Awarta, Beit Pouriq, and Beir Mouksaifa. The IDF arrested 20 people in the Nablus area in connection with the attack. Beir Mouksaifa. Authorities requested that Itamar residents stay indoors.   The IAF deployed numerous aircraft in the area in an attempt to locate the perpetrators of the attack. Initial reports said that armed terrorists cut the fence surrounding the settlement and stabbed to death the couple and their children.    According to the settler Yeasha council, about 100 families live in Itamar. There was a similar attack on the settlement during a Palestinian uprising in 2002, when a gunman broke into a house and opened fire, killing four members of one family and a neighbor.
