These are stories from a few of our supporters of how the LORD connected them with Israeli children victims of terror through Hugs for Israel and the blessing it has been for them personally. From Germany to Israel (by Way of Australia)
After Hugs sent the initial update telling about our contact with a 12-year old bus bombing victim named Oz, we received an email from H.K., a German citizen living in Germany. In it, she included the following:
"I have sent what the Lord told me to give. (which was a very very generous donation to the ministry) The amount is exactly what the Lord prompted me to give. I was only obedient, and it's His anyhow. In addition to that donation, I added an extra amount because I want you to buy a present for Oz, the boy you mentioned in the HUGS newsletter. He is on my heart (the Lord put him there - because I used to be called 'Oz' by dear friends of mine from New Zealand as I used to live in 'Oz', i.e. Australia, for many, many years.) Anyhow, buy Oz a present, something really nice that he would like."
We were praying for someone willing to “adopt” a set of 11-year -old twins, Michael and Liz, in our Adopt-a-Grandchild program. (There is a wonderful story of how the LORD brought them to Hugs that I will share at a later time.) One day I received an email from a couple in Arizona, named B. and S. who own a landscaping business there. They said they found out about Hugs through a friend who shared the article in Israel My Glory with them. Their email stated they had prayed and felt the LORD wanted them to become involved with the Adopt-a-Grandchild program and that they wanted 2 children. Praise the LORD. But what they said next really made me shout. They said that if possible they would like a boy and a girl!
Now read the testimony below from B. and S. telling how the LORD, a short time later, absolutely confirmed their involvement with Hugs and with the Adopt-a-Grandchild program. By the way, my last name is “Giles.”
"We would also like to inform you of the praise offering G_d sent us because of this. Three days after we sent you the first offering for Michael & Liz we were called by a major Construction Company in our town. They were doing a remodel of a motel near the Eloy, AZ airport. It had over 3 acres of landscape that needed to be cleaned up and then maintained by someone. We put in our bid and as usual we prayed about it and the L_rd gave us the amount. The place has seven building, we sent to Michael & Liz an amount that was seven, and we received the job. Praise the Lord. But that's not the best part. (I am about to cry. I do each time I tell this when I get to this part) Going out to the job site the L_rd reminded me of a short-cut that would save us 15 miles in travel time to and from the project. I was with my Crew Captain (who also is a born-again, wonderfully full of the spirit man) and I said "let's go back this way, the L_rd is telling me it's a short-cut. I am not sure of the name of the road that it dead ends on, but from there it's just a short 2 blocks to the main road." So we did. The name of the road that it dead ends on which is a 15 mile short-cut for us is, ARE YOU READY - GILES . Only G_d could put something that big together. He is so Wonderful!!!! My crew captain and I pulled over to the side of the road and thanked G_d for Loving us so much. I cried all the way home. We hope this blesses you as much as it has all of us.
