Israel on the brink...Prayer Needed...

Shalom Praying Friends,

By now many of you have heard the latest news concerning the opening up of Israel’s northern front as Hizbullah staged an attack killing 8 Israeli soldiers and kidnapping two more. They are now demanding the release of thousands of prisoners in exchange for these soldiers who might already be dead also.

With Hamas to the South; Hizbullah and Syria to the North; and nuclear-seeking Iran to the far West all openly calling for the total destruction of Israel, Israel has clearly been drawn deeper into an escalation and provocation in which she must respond in a clear and decisive manner. Many nations are busy issuing lame and impotent calls for Israel “to use restraint.”  Of course that translates into “just roll over and die!”

But the Holy One of Israel…the LION of Judah…has promised that HE will “contend with those who contend with Israel” (Isaiah 49:25).   And we know that HE keeps His Promises!

All of you who love Israel through the Eyes and Heart of the Holy One of Israel, please surround her with your fervent prayers like never before now in her hour of need.  

*Pray for Divine Wisdom for Israeli leaders…that they would be able to hear from Heaven and then allow the LORD of Hosts to go before them and to lead them in this battle. Pray that they would have the resolve to shut out all other voices so that the Name of the LORD is sanctified in their midst and before the nations.

*Pray for the safety of the Israeli armed forces and all security personnel that they would have Divine discernment and that they would be able to see those things that are hidden under the cloak of darkness. Pray that the Prince of Peace would be a covering of protection over the people of Israel.

*Pray that EVERY weapon that the evil one would try to use to destroy Israel whether from without (through wars) or from within through attempts at world appeasement or internal spiritual and moral decay (as in the proposed International Gay Parade scheduled for August) would be met with the Truth and the Fire of the Word of God.

“For the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”  (James5:16)
