Hugs in East Talpiot
(If you are a returning visitor to this page, you can skip the following introduction and click on the links following it to get the latest updates.)
Talpiot is a neighborhood in southeastern Jerusalem that was established in
1922. Because of the suicide bombing attacks on buses that service the community
as well as the overall security situation surrounding that area, it is difficult
for many of the children there to play outside. We were able to make a positive
impact on the community with a donation of a bounce castle to be set up in
the community center.
East Talpiot Community Center
On December 8 , 2005 I met with the Director of the East Talpiot (Jerusalem)
Community Center and agreed to place a castle there. Many of the children
in that neighborhood also ride the # 14 bus to and from school which has been
the target of more than 1 bombing. (It was the # 14 bus that Oz was on that
was blown up as he was on his way to school.) The children in the community
are now having a lot much fun in their new bounce castle! Click on the link,

wrote to us.
