The Hugs “Adopt-a-Grandchild” Project
Maybe you are a senior citizen who has never had grandchildren…or maybe your grandchildren are all grown up now. Whatever the case, this project is the perfect vehicle to connect you to an child terror victim whom you can commit to pray for and to financially sponsor on a monthly basis. One little 5-year-old victim whom Hugs visited had a birthday the previous week but the mother was unable to buy her the doll that the little girl really wanted for a birthday present. When we learned of this, naturally we went shopping for this doll. The joy on this little girl’s face when she unwrapped the present that we presented to her was indescribable. That present was made possible by financial gifts from a Hugs supporter. This project is an intregal component of our overall vision of establishing and maintaining an active, visible and long-lasting relationship with the child and their familes on their long road to recovery from "the valley of the shadow of death" that they are passing through.

Please contact us and let us know how many “grandchildren” you will commit to “adopt.” We will arrange opportunities for you to exchange letters periodically with them through Hugs so that you will get to know them. They in turn will get to know you, but more importantly, they will come to know MORE of the LOVE and Care that God has for them personally. Please note that as with our HugsPals and HugsAcrossTheSeas Projects, all communications are done via written letters through the post. Because of the well-known problems that can arise from misuse of the internet of those who target children for abuse, Hugs for Israel ABSOLUTELY refrains from the use of the internet as a means of communication with the children whom we have been entrusted with in any of our projects. Copies of all communications are kept in our Hugs files which also serves to protect the ministry AND to reassure the parents that we are not attempting to prosletize their child.
