“Hugs Across The Seas” (H.A.T.S.)

We are currently in the beginning stages of getting this vibrant pen-pal project up and running. It’s purpose is to encourage and facilitate cross-cultural interchange between children in other nations and their peers here in Israel. By doing so, it will provide exceptional opportunities for them to establish and cultivate lasting friendships. An exciting component of this project is it’s very own newsletter, Connected. This bi-monthly newsletter will serve to expand Hugs Across the Seas on a much larger scale as it links schools and youth groups from around the world with schools here in Israel that have been hard hit by terrorism. Some schools have lost and/or had several of their students injured in attacks over the course of the last 4 years. In one school, 11 of their students were killed and several dozens more were wounded in the same terrorist attack. The newsletter will consist of writings, artwork, photos, and other “cool stuff” of interest to kids done by kids for kids. Initially, it will be available with English and Hebrew translations; however, as resources become available, other languages will also be added.

This is a golden opportunity for you and your school or youth group to get involved and to get ‘connected’ with the children here in Israel. Please contact us for more information.
